Spanish turkey meat exported to the Central African Republic for the first time ever
03 Jul 2017
Spanish company MX2 Global opens new markets in Africa.
On June 20th, 2017, a container of Spanish frozen turkey meat was exported to the Central African Republic for the first time ever.
MX2 GLOBAL is a Spanish exporter of a wide range of dry, fresh and frozen food items which promotes transactions between Spanish producers and its international military and commercial client base.
With over 20 years of experience in military food supply, MX2 GLOBAL is very active in providing outstanding Spanish foods to United Nations peacekeeping missions in Africa, the Middle East and Central America. Along these lines, the company recently signed a distribution agreement to supply halal frozen turkey meat from Spain to the UN peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic and Mali.
The first two containers have already departed to each destination and the UN’s “blue helmets” are now enjoying quality Spanish meat. On this occasion, MX2 GLOBAL partnered with an outstanding group of food companies located across Spain. Mr. Vicente Peral, one of the Managing Partners at MX2 GLOBAL, said: “I have been working with this turkey producer since we supplied the US Army during the War in Afghanistan, and they always did a great job supplying competitive meat products while preserving the high quality required by those organizations.”
This is the second time that MX2 GLOBAL has been a pioneer in Spanish food exports. Last year the company arranged the first-ever export of Spanish chicken eggs to Somalia and Kenya. According to Mariano de Luna, the company’s other Managing Partner: “The fact that this was the first Spanish turkey meat export is anecdotal; what’s really interesting is to see Spanish food products reaching all corners of the world, and this is a direct consequence of the innovation capacity, competitive prices and respect for the highest standards of quality. We will continue helping Spanish food and wine manufacturers connect with international clients.”
